Four Times Lenore McCoy Acted As Ship's Counselor (and the one time she needed one)
Author:
telesilla
Pairing: Gen (w/ background Spock/Uhura)
Series: I'm a Doctor, Not Your Mother
Rating: G
Word Count: ~3,500
Disclaimer: The Star Trek characters do not belong to me. Although maybe Lenore does, just a little.
Summary: Six months in the life of a CMO in an era before Ship's Counselors.
Notes: For a number of reasons this fic has sat in my google docs forever. I'm finally posting it so that I can qualify for Star Trek (2009) for this year's remix, if I want to. Many thanks to
helens78 for the beta.

Kirk and Spock's Fascinating Adventure

Title: Kirk and Spock's Fascinating Adventure
Rating: PG
Series: reboot, with many many TOS references
Pairing(s)/Characters: Kirk/Edith Keeler, mentions of Spock/Uhura, implications of a whole lot of crack, ensemble cast with additional people from history
Warnings: ...A whole lot of crack?
Word Count: just under 45,000
Summary: Two young men with a great destiny find that destiny threatened, until an older man from the future arrives to lend them a helping hand and start them out on an amazing adventure. Sound familiar?
Notes: Written for
reel_startrek. Quite obviously, a Trek remix of "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure". Mostly gen, humor, and approximately as historically accurate as the original movie - meaning not at all. All "historical" figures in this fic do appear in some capacity in TOS - even the ones that overlap with those in the original movie.
To the index page, with prologue...

Title: Fighting Gravity
Pairing: Kirk/Spock
Rating: PG-13
Notes: An AU spawned off the "scruffy Spock" pics posted in
ontd_startrek last October. It grew a plot, and I've been writing this since. It's now done, at about 140,000 words. (For full notes, see the index post.)
Summary: When Spock left Starfleet after the encounter with Nero, Jim thought he'd lost his chance at their supposedly destined friendship. Upon returning to Earth after the Enterprise's first five-year mission, he discovers that Spock lost far more. Jim's willing to fight for the bright future they were promised, but the one thing standing in its way is Spock himself.
Since last crossposting...
Chapter 14: "Despite what you told me, you were hoping he'd come back to Starfleet after all, weren't you?"
Chapter 15: He'd never really thought much about what his mom had been doing when he was really little.
Chapter 16: There were a lot of mixed feelings about this place, and Riverside in general.
Chapter 17: How he felt... He didn't understand why he'd want to talk to Spock about any of it.
Chapter 18: "I think he doesn't want to say goodbye to you."
Chapter 19: Spock just seemed... Well, he was always serious, but he seemed more so.

Summary: Sequel to All That We Can be, Not Just What We Are and Who Am I to Say?
Kirk sort of figured being bonded to Spock would be complicated—and he sure as hell doesn't regret his hasty decision. But between his new obsession with Spock's hands and his attempts to avoid Uhura, he wouldn't mind knowing what the hell is going on.

Pairing: multiple permutations, but always Kirk/Spock.
Summary: After the end of his first five year mission, Jim gets a call from his "old friend", who's getting old in the literal sense. But he's going to be around for one more pon farr, and has a request to make.
Warnings: End of life issues; Spock Prime has lived a long full life and is at peace. Take that as you will.
Even his own Spock didn't look at him like that, like he was the only good and perfect thing in the universe even though he knew damn well that Jim was anything but.

Meme Rules
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Put iTunes or equivalent media player on random.
3. For each song that plays, write something related to the theme you picked inspired by the song. You have only the time frame of the song: no planning beforehand: you start when it starts, and no lingering afterward; once the song is over, you stop writing. (No fair skipping songs either; you have to take what comes by chance!)

Title: Parted From Me

Rating: PG at worst

Pairing: Spock Prime/Saavik, implied Spock/Uhura
Acknowledgments: My betas--
medie, who is the canon/nitpick goddess of all things Trek, and
marag who is also fabulous at things Trek, but even better at grammar (and she wouldn't want to be deified anyway). ;-)
Note: This story was written as catharsis upon realizing that in the new universe established by this movie, one of my favorite characters from the original movie series may now likely never exist. Because said character got the bulk of her characterization off-screen, though, it draws heavily on quasi-canon established in the novels and in one deleted scene from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. It should hopefully be understandable to anyone who hasn't read those novels or descriptions of that scene, but I thought I ought to say something just in case.
Summary: It is left to him to mourn what would have been.
