Pairing: multiple permutations, but always Kirk/Spock.
Summary: After the end of his first five year mission, Jim gets a call from his "old friend", who's getting old in the literal sense. But he's going to be around for one more pon farr, and has a request to make.
Warnings: End of life issues; Spock Prime has lived a long full life and is at peace. Take that as you will.
Even his own Spock didn't look at him like that, like he was the only good and perfect thing in the universe even though he knew damn well that Jim was anything but.
