Title: No Twilight Galaxy
Pairing: Kirk/Spock
Rating: R
Wordcount: ~13000
Warnings: Angst! Melodrama! Redshirt bodies, stacked three deep! No major character death, though. I wasn't brave enough this time.
Notes: Stories are like children; sometimes they don't turn out like you wanted them to, but there comes a point when you have to stop trying to fix them and let them go out into the world, and then just hope they don't end up in jail or dead or something. My warmest thanks and dirty kisses with tongue to
leupagus,
isandre and
rhaegal for betaing/cheerleading/handholding. Written for
aprilleigh24's excellent
help_haiti prompt, in thanks for her donation to MSF/DWB. Hope it meets her expectations. Thanks to everyone who participated in the auction!
Summary: Statistically speaking, out of all possible Jim Kirks in all possible dimensions, not every one of them could have been born lucky.
there's no glitter in the gutter, there's no twilight galaxy
